Content | The lower priced sibling of our renowned Touring Edition Exhaust, the Track Edition for the B8 S5 3.0T is made of the same quality T304L stainless, is crafted in house, and delivers the same power gains. The difference comes in the removal of AWE's sound-cancelling 180 Technology rear-mufflers, which can be found on our Touring Edition Exhaust. Warning - this thing gets rowdy! This system will produce a louder tone in the mid range. S-Tronic owners beware: This system will be especially loud at part throttle. Given the removal of the rear-mufflers, this system cannot be returned due to sound.As far as downpipes (sold separately), AWE offers Resonated and Non-Resonated Downpipes. The AWE Resonated Downpipes feature resonators larger than the stock units in order to produce a more mellow sound volume, and AWE's Non-Resonated Downpipes are suited for owners seeking the loudest AWE has to offer have to offer in the S4 line up. Both our Resonated and Non-Resonated Downpipes feature larger than stock tubing diameter. Note: In limited cases, the factory downpipes have been known to emit minor rattling noises when paired with the AWE S4 exhaust system. The straight-through canister projects from the car at an angle, which helps smooth the exhaust flow. The canister is built from SUS 304 stainless steel and features a 115mm tip with aggressive style. The Super Silencer is included on selected models, which can reduce noise levels by up to 7 decibels. The N-1 Series Mufflers are available for both NA (naturally aspirated) and turbo-charged cars. | The RM-01A was developed for gymkhana, dirt trial, and other competition spec vehicles where mid to high RPM power is crucial. Especially for race classes with strict modification restrictions; the lightweight benefits of the RM-01A can truly be realized. Improved acceleration, response, braking, cornering, reduced tire wear, and all other vehicle behaviors are influenced by weight reduction. Due to all the light weight materials and advanced construction the RM-01A is 50% lighter than OE for most applications. The RM-01A will decrease lap times with improved power and reduced weight. The main pipe and silencer body are 1.0mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm (Except for certain models) thick SUS304 which is light weight and guaranteed to be durable. All unnecessary weight has been removed from all components, and thicknesses of materials have been selected to produce the ultimate performance exhaust.
