AWE Research and Development has yielded an exhaust that is remarkably civil while idling/part throttle cruising, but unleashed at full throttle produces what some have called a “war-cry wail.” The Touring Edition Exhaust features our proprietary sound canceling technology, 180 Technology, providing the perfect tone, minus the drone. Performance driven sophistication: a direct bolt-on, straight-through design, delivering a smooth soundtrack throughout the range. All tip options include the AWE logo, and double walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste. HKS has incorporated this new race inspired offset muffler and piping design into many street applications, which offers a greater flow and higher-PRM power gains due to the less restrictive design. This is achieved by eliminating unnecessary bends for the straightest exhaust path. For turbocharged applications, the large and smooth exhaust flow allows greater exhaust velocity for better mid-range boost response and high-RPM power. Its simple straight thru design creates an increase of exhaust gas velocity in order to improve efficiency. This exhaust uses a middle silencer (resonator) on the main pipe to help maintain torque in the low to mid speed range. All mufflers are made with SUS304 stainless steel, 1mm is used for main pipe. and the ultra 0.8mm is used for main silencer combine with 76.2mm (3") exhaust piping.
